A Starry Sky for a Nursery

A nursery mural in Limassol with a mother bear and her cub among the stars. Ursa Major and Ursa Minor are woven into their figures above a mountain lake and forest, in a soft palette of blues and warm pastel tones.

Starry sky mural with a mother bear and cub in a nursery

The challenge

Paint a starry sky beside the child’s bed, featuring Ursa Major and Ursa Minor in pastel colours.

The approach

The constellations became part of a story about a mother bear and her cub: the star patterns were incorporated into their figures. A landscape of mountains, a lake and trees extends the scene below them. The mural was painted with water-based enamel paint.
